BREAD TAMBAYAN
BMPI is a private company that operates and manages UNTV-37, founded in 2004 by its Chairman and Managing Director, KUYA DANIEL S. RAZON and JAY SONZA. Its Management offered our Organization to produce and place a youth-oriented show in their station.
BREAD Society is the very first youth organization to have its own television program in the country. “BREAD Tambayan” is aired regularly on UNTV Channel every Sunday from 6pm – 7pm. It is a youth-oriented program that intends to educate, empower and enrich the youth with relevant information they need. Come October, BREAD Tambayan will take you a tour to campuses.
PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES
BREAD Society conceptualizes and spearheads the Public Service Campaign called ONSErvice, in celebration of its 11th Year Foundating Anniversary in 2009.
ONSErvice is a group of public-service-oriented programs and activities that purposely aim to serve and provide free services like Medical and Dental Missions, BREADCut- free haircut, BREAD Binalot- free book or notebook wrapping, Feeding Programs and more.
YCONCON: Youth Convention & Concert
BREAD SOCIETY, in collaboration with the UNTV-BMPI, is the organizer of the two (2) successful and well-attended Youth Convention and Concert (YCONCON) in year 2007 and recently on August 17, 2009 at the Big Dome.
YCONCON: Ang Unang Sesyon in March 2007 was for the benefit of the Bahay Bagong Buhay and was supported by a great number of bands and performers and members of the BREAD Society.
on August 17, 2009 is organization’s biggest event of the year. Proceeds of which went to the funding of an educational edifice and FREE COLLEGE EDUCATION program of veteran Broadcaster Kuya Daniel Razon of UNTV37. This is the first in the country and most probably in world, that would provide ABSOLUTELY FREE College Education offering MassCom and Nursing Courses- FREE Tuition, FREE School & PE Uniforms, FREE Meals.
“YCONCON The Sequel: Isang Araw Lang” was a well attended convention as it drew fifteen thousand (15,000) young people, members and officers of BREAD Society to fill the Big Dome to the rafters. “YCONCON The Sequel: Isang Araw Lang” marks our 11th anniversary.
BREAD Society is also behind the GOLD RECORD awarded to Kuya Daniel Razon’s newest album, “Isang Araw Lang” for garnering sales numbering to fifteen thousand copies bought by our members in just one day.
BREAD Society supports the “ISANG ARAW LANG” (Just One Day) Advocacy campaign. “Isang Araw Lang” was conceptualized by Kuya Daniel Razon, host of public-service morning program “Good Morning Kuya”. Its purpose is to move people to do a good deed even for just one day. As explained by Kuya Daniel, there are 365 days in a year, 30 days in a month, 7 days in a week and they are never complete without a day. If one would happily do good deed in one day, wouldn’t he do it the next day? and then the other day? until he finds himself doing it everyday, because no good deed will bear fruit of any evil.
ISANG ARAW LANG PARA SA KALIKASAN
April 21, 2009- a day before Earth Day, about 3,000 youth volunteers from different colleges and universities responded to the campaign of Kuya Razon had called for. These youth helped clean one of the 30 dirtiest rivers in the world in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, Metro Manila. The project was called “Isang araw para sa Kalikasan”. Hernani De Guzman, Environmentalist Sanitation Services Officer, acknowledged the importance of such movements, and thanked Razon and the youth organization called Bread Society International. According to residents near the Sapang Alat River, it was the first time they have seen such force accomplish what was – until that day – impossible.
