Of Religious Campaigns and Maple Leaves

Posted by nikkiability On January - 4 - 2011 1 COMMENT

Vancouver, British Columbia – According to the Vancouver Sun, “about a quarter of Canadians said they didn’t believe in any God in a 2008 poll on religion.” In addition, the atheistic campaigns through transit advertisements have reached the land of maple leaves.

In 2009, the Freethought Association of Canada raised $50,000 for the campaign expenses. In a sociological perspective, this campaign was questioned if it has ever made any beneficial contributions to society or if it has helped boost moral encouragement in any way. The said amount used for posting ads in public transit could have been used for public service instead.

Vancouver, being the largest metropolitan area in Western Canada, then has been recorded as having “one of the highest crime rates” in the entire North America according to CBS news. Could this unlawful trend be in any way connected to the atheistic movement? According to Judas 1:15;

“To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him”.

As Bible Readers Society International continues to promote Bible readership and public service throughout the globe, it campaigns that belief in God is truly advantageous to society. In fact, nowhere in the Bible would anyone find a verse encouraging any criminal act, but rather, the Scriptures condemn unlawfulness. In Romans 12: 9, it says;

“Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good”.

As of December 2010, the British Columbia Registry has approved and reserved the name Bible Readers Society International – British Columbia. God willing, the organization’s filing for incorporation will be accomplished by the start of year 2011.
